| The Law
Day Committee is designed around our annual Law Day and Law Week
activities that take place annually in late April.
The focus of Law Day and the committee
is to promote and celebrate our legal freedoms. We achieve
this goal by involving area middle and high school students.
Specifically, we host and facilitate class tours of the Mahoning
County Courthouse; we sponsor and judge an annual essay contest
for local students; and we also arrange for local lawyers to speak
directly to students in their classrooms.
Law Week concludes with our annual Law
Day Luncheon. Every year we try to provide a timely and
insightful guest speaker to speak at our luncheon. We also
encourage local lawyers and judges to host a local student for the
day and as their guest at the luncheon. |
