Lawyer Referral
Service
The Mahoning County Bar Association sponsors a Lawyer Referral Service
which assists the general public in being referred to a qualified
lawyer for legal assistance.The
Lawyer Referral Service is comprised of lawyers in good standing with
the Mahoning County Bar Association. The lawyers submit
applications to participate in the service and list five areas of the
law in which referrals will be accepted. Some of the areas in
which lawyers are available are:
- Bankruptcy
- Collections
- Personal Injury
- Family Law
- Probate
- Real Estate
- Landlord/Tenant
A complete listing of areas is available
at the Bar Association Office.
When the client requests a referral, the lawyer agrees to grant them
an initial 30-minute consultation without charge. An
administrative fee of $15 is payable to the Lawyer Referral Service.
Charges for any further legal services are agreed upon between the
lawyer and the client. To obtain
